Statement of Faith
The Bible
We believe the Holy Scriptures of the Old and New Testament to be God's inspired Word. The scriptures are inerrant, infallible, and God-breathed, therefore the final authority for faith and life. The Holy Spirit gives divine understanding to all scripture. The sixty-six books of the Old and New Testament are the complete and divine written revelation of God to man.

The Godhead: The Father, The Son, The Holy Spirit
We believe in One God, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit – each coeternal in power and glory and having the same attributes and perfection.

The Father
The only true God has revealed Himself to the world, through His Son Jesus Christ, as the eternally self-existent “I AM,” the Creator of heaven and earth and the Redeemer of mankind. He has further revealed Himself as embodying the principles of relationship and association as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

The Son: Jesus Christ
The Lord Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God. He became a man without ceasing to be God, having been conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary so that He might reveal God and redeem sinful man. Jesus Christ accomplished our redemption through His sinless life and death on the cross as a substitutionary sacrifice, and our justification is made sure by His literal, physical resurrection from the dead. Man’s only hope of redemption is through the shed blood of Jesus Christ the Son of God. Salvation is received through repentance toward God and faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. By the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit, being justified by grace through faith, man becomes an heir of God, according to the hope of eternal life.

The Holy Spirit
The Holy Spirit is the third person of the Godhead. He is co-equal, co-eternal, and co-existent with the Father and with the Son. His ministry upon the earth is to convict and convert man as well as be the great paraclete (comforter, counselor, helper, intercessor, advocate, strengthener, and standby) to the Church. The baptism of the Holy Spirit and Fire is a gift from God as promised by the Lord Jesus to all believers and is received subsequent to and is distinct from the experience of New Birth. With it comes the enduement of power for life and service, the bestowment of the gifts and their uses in the work of the ministry. The Baptism of the Holy Spirit is meant to empower the believer to be a witness of Jesus Christ by the preaching and demonstration of the Gospel. The gifts of the Holy Spirit are also evidence of this experience. Whereas there is one initial baptism, there are many subsequent infillings of the Spirit. The ultimate purpose of the Baptism of the Holy Spirit is so that we, the believers, may have power to be witnesses Matthew 3:11; John 14:16-17; Acts 1:8; Acts 2

The Church
The church is the body of Christ, the habitation of God, through the Spirit. Jesus Christ Himself establishes and builds His church, which is composed of all born-again people. The church is His body and bride, a new and holy nation of people, through which God has purposed to glorify Himself in the world.

Ressurection
Jesus Christ is returning one day to judge both the living and the dead and to usher in the fullness of God's kingdom on earth.
Five-fold Ministry
We believe that upon Christ’s ascension, He gave five ministries to the Church for her instruction, and total equipping for the service and ministry of Christ’s gospel. There are Apostles, Prophets, Evangelists, Pastors, and Teachers. Each of these ministries are the direct outworking of who Christ was in His ministry upon the Earth. Therefore, 420 Church Clearwater welcomes and acknowledges these ministries in their fullness and authority.
